From the earliest, pre-application stages, EoETT have reached out to provide support and guidance whenever it has been required. They have been welcoming at every juncture and provided feedback that has developed my confidence. When applying for the course, I imagined my profile to be quite unusual, being a mature student with a young family and a background of teaching English abroad for many years. EoETT moved quickly to reassure me that their cohorts are comprised of trainees with all different ages, levels of experience and backgrounds. This gave me the belief that my skills, that I had learned for many years abroad, were transferable to the UK classroom. The EoETT portal has a great level of accessibility and ensures that the ‘in class’ element of the course dovetails with the ‘training’ element. With so much on, having everything in one place and laid out in a way to make the course content easy to manage is perfect. The training sessions have been succinct and relevant to my development as a teacher. The relevant nature of the training has meant that I look forward to applying what I have learnt in the classroom the following week. From an early stage the SCITT format, with guidance from my mentor, has allowed me to spend a large amount of time at the front and centre of the classroom. This is something that has really aided my development. My experience of training with EoETT has been a very positive one and a bright future, as a teacher, lies ahead. – Richard All Stories
